Ardour 8.10 is now available for Linux, Windows and macOS. As with the last several releases, 8.9 turned out to have at least a couple of new major issues that required a hot-fix.

I wrote about how making small, hand-written HTML pages has taken over as the way I organise my local files. I get more metadata and filtering options than I do with the Finder, and the ongoing maintenance cost is essentially zero.

@kkarhan They don't give you freedom of expression unfortunately on their form to fill a report. It's a form in four steps, asking all about your address, name, email, phone number, company, professional ID, etc... And various way to authentify the copyright ownership of the Intellectual Property.

In your shoes I would write to Temu Boston headquarters with a cease and desist to allowing your copyrighted work being sold without consent and it breaches your moral right which is the right to be named as the creator, which really means that they have voided the creative commons licence and I'd send an invoice with it for a very large sum. Happy to help. In some instances justice is fought in small steps. It is lovely artwork btw.

For the AI side, I'm okay with using it for marketing purposes, but not respecting the CC licensing is Atrous. You should do what you can to get them to obey or ask the @eff guys to help you send the correct legal documents to at least get them to follow the CC liscense.
With that said, I would purchase to verify the quality. Then launch your own limited run T-Shirt and donate the proceeds to a foundation if you don't want to profit from it. So in my eyes I see an opportunity.
Quick update: Temu wrote me this morning that they have removed the product:

@aurochs 😂 ha ha, I think I can forget that: it is not even mentioned in the email. This type of product is probably still profitable for both the seller and Temu's percentage commission.
But also a reminder that big platforms don't aim for the right solution, but just a solution which reduces their liability. Temu is known for draconian punishments of sellers for real or perceived harm to them or to customers.
I'm glad they did take action, but I'm kind of chuckling that they want to be VERY CLEAR that they're not doing it because they care about you, the artist.
You could contact the seller directly on Temu to get the attribution, if it helps you to promote your art under the CC license. I guess you already thought about it for findings in the future..

Uma vez tirei a roda dianteira, coloquei de volta, e um lado do v-brake ficou encostado e o outro não. Hoje tirei a roda traseira e coloquei se volta, e aconteceu a mesma coisa. Pelo menos no olhômetro a roda parece alinhada (olhando de ponta-cabeça).

ElasticSearch/Java is a barrier to that. It is a huge memory hog compared to the rest of the system.

I do mask if I have a cold or my patient has respiratory symptoms (and I take precautions for the sake of the next patient, too). I do not routinely mask anymore because: - Covid is much less of a problem nowadays where I live; - Pretty much every was vaccinated at least once, even most people did not take all the shots they should;
- Surgical masks don't fit me nearly well enough, and it's exhausting to use an N95 for 12 hours a day - With a N95 I can't make myself heard and keep the subtility in the way I speak.
A relative of mine who is a healthcare worker doesn’t mask. They have given me the following reasons: 1. They believe CO2 builds up to dangerous levels inside the mask. 2. They believe micro fibers from the mask get inhaled, and that this is unhealthy.
So they wrongly believe that masks are dangerous, and this is why they don’t wear them. None of my information about how dangerous Covid is, or how they put their patients in danger, has changed their mind.

respondendo aqui a parte que me toca: no final do ano serei obrigada a migrar de MEI para ME e serei obrigada a ter contador. Então provavelmente a partir de fevereiro do ano que vem posso assumir essas finanças. Agora não posso, por motivos de desorganização pessoal 🤷🏻♀️ e de não fazer ideia como declarar esses recebimentos (que não são meus, mas que devem ir para a minha conta em algum momento). Pro ano que vem consigo separar as coisas, botar em conta poupança separada pra prestar contas de quanto tem em caixa etc.
O que entra cobre os custos de administração e operacionais, mas sempre tem um aumento inesperado de servidor (que a gente paga anual), de mecanismo de envio de newsletter -- é bom sempre ter um caixa para essas emergências.

O lance é que um usuário dessa instância criou uma pesquisa sobre o Fediverso há algum tempo e a antiga administração achou suspeita, mesmo não tendo nada de cunho pessoal dos entrevistados. O problema escalou, por diversas questões de comunicação, e a instância terminou bloqueada. Até o meu nome entrou na história na época. 🙂
