O nanossatélite pode ainda ser utilizado em tarefas de inteligência e defesa.
O diretor de tecnologia da empresa nacional, Himilcon Carvalho, destacou que “o domínio do software embarcado é o que nos dá liberdade para integrar ou substituir qualquer componente, concedendo total liberdade ao projeto”. “Entramos num seleto grupo de empresas no mundo capazes de projetar integralmente satélites”, continuou.
A Visiona Tecnologia Espacial foi criada em 2012 enquanto uma joint-venture (empreendimento conjunto) da Embraer com a Telebras, que é estatal, para especializar-se em integração de sistemas espaciais e serviços baseados em satélites.
O VCUB1, considerado um nanossatélite, tem 12kg e carrega a câmera reflexiva OPTO 3UCAM, a primeira a ser projetada e produzida no Brasil.
Esse equipamento, segundo o Grupo Aker, empresa de engenharia brasileira responsável por esta parte do projeto, tem resolução de até 3 metros e tem uma faixa de varredura de 14 quilômetros.
A empresa ressaltou a flexibilidade da câmera, que pode se adequar a diferentes serviços.
Cesar Silva, diretor-executivo da Akaer, disse que “o desenvolvimento do VCUB1 e da OPTO 3UCAM reflete o potencial da indústria nacional e a importância das colaborações para o avanço da infraestrutura espacial brasileira”.
“Estamos orgulhosos de contribuir com a nossa expertise para o fortalecimento do Programa Espacial Brasileiro”, continuou.
O lançamento do satélite VCUB1 ocorreu em abril de 2023 e, desde então, os equipamentos vêm sendo calibrados para sua perfeita utilização.
O projeto contou com a colaboração da Agência Espacial Brasileira (AEB), Embrapa, Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA), Transpetro, Instituto Brasileiro de Meio Ambiente (Ibama), entre outros institutos e empresas.

@Pjap37 Weeeell, I went on Christmas day and got there as soon as it opened. I then doubled back when the light was failing to get some more shots. I managed to get photos with only one or two people in (which I removed in Photoshop). Still took a LOT of waiting in place for breaks, as there were still some other people milling about 😀

@TMangnall It's an old paper mill, these are the beater machines that break up fibers between the pulping and rolling stages of the process. Some more photos attached. I had to be careful as security had drilled holes in so they could see inside, so I didn't stand out in the open in this area for long!

@kkarhan They don't give you freedom of expression unfortunately on their form to fill a report. It's a form in four steps, asking all about your address, name, email, phone number, company, professional ID, etc... And various way to authentify the copyright ownership of the Intellectual Property.

In your shoes I would write to Temu Boston headquarters with a cease and desist to allowing your copyrighted work being sold without consent and it breaches your moral right which is the right to be named as the creator, which really means that they have voided the creative commons licence and I'd send an invoice with it for a very large sum. Happy to help. In some instances justice is fought in small steps. It is lovely artwork btw.

For the AI side, I'm okay with using it for marketing purposes, but not respecting the CC licensing is Atrous. You should do what you can to get them to obey or ask the @eff guys to help you send the correct legal documents to at least get them to follow the CC liscense.
With that said, I would purchase to verify the quality. Then launch your own limited run T-Shirt and donate the proceeds to a foundation if you don't want to profit from it. So in my eyes I see an opportunity.
Quick update: Temu wrote me this morning that they have removed the product:

But also a reminder that big platforms don't aim for the right solution, but just a solution which reduces their liability. Temu is known for draconian punishments of sellers for real or perceived harm to them or to customers.
You could contact the seller directly on Temu to get the attribution, if it helps you to promote your art under the CC license. I guess you already thought about it for findings in the future..
